HE IS RISEN!!!

'He is not here, for He has risen, just as He said.'

Matthew 28: 1-6

'Now after the Sabbath, as it began to dawn toward the first day of the week, Mary Magdalene and the other Mary came to look at the grave. And behold, a severe earthquake had occurred, for an angel of the Lord descended from heaven and came and rolled away the stone and sat upon it. And his appearance was like lightning, and his garment as white as snow; and the guards shook for fear of him, and became like dead men.

And the angel answered and said to the women, 'Do not be afraid; for I know that you are looking for Jesus who has been crucified. He is not here, for He has risen, just as He said. Come, see the place where He was lying.'

 But He was wounded for our transgressions,
He was bruised for our iniquities;
The chastisement for our peace was upon Him,
And by His stripes we are healed.
-  Isaiah 53:5

'The trouble is, of course, that believing that Jesus was raised from the dead involves, at the very least, suspending judgment on matters normally regarded as fixed and unalterable; or, to put it more positively, it requires that we exchange a worldview which says that such things can't happen for one which, embracing the notion of a creator God making himself known initially in the traditions of Israel and then fully and finally in Jesus, says that Jesus's resurrection makes perfect sense when seen from that point of view. Faith can't be forced, but unfaith can be challenged. That is how it has always been, from the very beginning, when people have borne witness to Jesus's resurrection.'

'When Jesus emerged from the tomb, justice, spirituality, relationship, and beauty rose with him. Something has happened in and through Jesus as a result of which the world is a different place, a place where heaven and earth have been joined forever. God's future has arrived in the present. Instead of mere echoes, we hear the voice itself: a voice which speaks of rescue from evil and death, and hence of new creation.'   - Simply Christian, Why Christianity Makes Sense, N.T. Wright

You have no idea how your emails touch me and uplift me, you are such a blessing to my life and I wish I could be a blessing back to you, if there is anything you ever want when I take a trip to London please let me know, though my visits will be less frequent now, as you know... I have a lot of friends that can get things for me... Oh I know... Do you like British Magazines? I always bring back a ton and I have a ton right now, so if you want one or a couple... let me know! I believe that nothing happens without reason, and blogging led me to you. Thank you xx
